A major European international event management group with a substantial presence in the region wishes to recruit a Business Development Manager Auto. The position will lead a major international agency event management team working with a leading auto manufacture. They will be responsible and accountable for considerable revenue budgets (millions).
Applicants will preferably have the following experience and qualifications
Strategic and commercial direction for existing and new business. Be responsible for day to day management and key client contact across the Auto show programme. Demonstrate understanding and experience of all key departments and the product services they offer (e.g. writing, digital, creative production etc) and be able to sell these effectively to clients. Show strong presentation skills and an ability to develop compelling sales strategies for projects. And offer. Strong understanding of the client brands, products and how they compete in a competitive environment
An understanding of brand vision, values and positioning. The ability to build strong client relationships and a thorough an understanding of the client’s business be capable of influencing their thinking. Forecasting of project revenues and ensuring targets are met. Effective proposal costing and budget development. Take full responsibility of revenue forecasting and management. Assess and monitor creative proposals/concept development against creative briefs and the client’s brand/business objectives. Present company proposals at Board and senior management levels within the client’s organisation. Delegate to and manage the project team
Experience and knowledge.
Auto show experience essential. Significant agency experience in account management and direction. Strategic thinking with the ability to generate and implement ideas. Degree educated with an interest in branding, marketing, audience perception, brand influence and design. Must be able to communicate, draw up briefs and deliver immaculate presentations with clear strategic thought.
Salary is negotiable dependent on experience and seniority.
